Salt Lake County’s South Redwood Public Health Center is an innovative facility that promotes outreach and wellness. The building is strategically oriented within the West Jordan civic campus, with an intentional posture of openness. With strong visibility and inviting presence, the large transparent glass façade allows a profusion of natural light to flood the interiors and represents a welcoming gesture to the community. A large colorful mural operates at an architectural scale, projecting through the glass with exuberance. The building’s tight footprint required a careful optimization of programmatic elements, ensuring full representation and function of the various community service departments. LEED Gold certification represents the County’s commitment to providing an environment to foster a healthy community.
