Innovation Campus Signage and Wayfinding Plan

The importance of good signage and wayfinding cannot be understated. Signage can boost branding and identity and communicate how to navigate a new or familiar space. Wayfinding elements can enrich and enhance transportation as well provide confidence and comfort for employees and visitors. MHTN continued building upon its work helping to shape the future of Utah State University’s Innovation Campus by expanding the master plan to include guidance on signage and wayfinding. As the Campus has expanded, signs have been added in a piecemeal manner that resulted in a wide array of sign types and designs.

The Signage and Wayfinding Plan provides best practices and detailed designs for wayfinding, gateway, and pedestrian sign types. It also includes material selection, placement, and recommendations for implementation priority. The new signage will bring consistency and recognition to the Innovation Campus, and serve to boost its unique and innovative identity as home to several cutting-edge Utah companies and research institutes.
