Tsebii’nidzisgai Elementary School

Tsébii’nidzisgai Elementary is an innovative school that embraces the Navajo community it serves.  Through a series of community workshops, MHTN, the School District, and Navajo Leaders developed strategies to incorporate Navajo culture throughout the school in appropriate ways that support learning. One of the strategies was to invite students to design the cafeteria floor pattern inspired by Navajo rug designs. The school both respects the Navajo culture and the stunning natural desert location.
